What if I cannot afford services? Do you take insurance?

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance (BCBS). Other insurance plans are currently considered out of network; however, many insurance plans offer out-of-network mental health and/or addiction benefits. Please contact your insurance plan to determine your specific benefits. *Our practice will provide you with a superbill with the services you have received that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Journey to Peace Counseling Services also take Health Savings Account (HSA) cards if offered through your employer.

How long does therapy take?

If a person has a specific problem or goal they want to address, they may need only 2-3 sessions. If a person has a complex issue they want to address, it may take weeks to months. Typically, individuals will see their therapist on a weekly basis.  However, during the initial assessment, both the client(s) and the therapist collaborate together to complete an individualized treatment plan to determine the number of sessions and how frequently to meet.
